1981 YAMAHA 465 YZ
European Clone- White Powder coated frame with new white plastic. This bike has the 250 tank with the boost bottle attachment. This includes all factory parts which are the metal bracket that attaches to the bottom of the tank, the boost bottle, rubber bottle holder, (this rubber holder attaches to the metal bracket that holds the boost bottle in place), air intake hose, (which attaches the boost bottle to the intake manifold), and the vented intake manifold. The boost bottle system allows a quicker response after letting off the throttle and getting back on it. When you let off the throttle, the gases go into the bottle, (not building up in the cylinder). When the gases go into the cylinder, it will give a slight hesitation when you get back on it. When using the boost bottle the gases go into the bottle and when you get back on it, the gases are sucked out of the bottle into a fresh cylinder.
It has the clutch extension, (for easy pull), newer brakes, cables, chain, sprockets, tires, top end, (3rd over- 8 rides) new plastic, (front - rear fenders and side panels), seat cover, decals (including my favorite Hurricane Hannah lighting bolts). I know it has the 80 Tank decals, but will include an 81 tank decal set. DG pipe, (no dings), with original spark arrestor. The 1981 465 YZ was the first year of the larger fork tub diameter, (unlike the smaller 1980's and before YZ's). Rebuilt forks with Dwayne Jones fork & monoshock mods; they work awesome, (the Jones family helped develop the first YZ's for Yamaha and Dwayne's brother was a 2 time World Champion). It has a 17" rear wheel so it will take the massive 560 rear tire. It comes with one new 530 tire, 2 good 560 tires and one new unbelievable rock tire. I am also including an 18" gold rim and hub, (the rim is extra wide).
