Honda 1982 CR-480R motocross bike. Fresh restoration. I did not go into the lower engine/transmission, only bore/piston & rings, and clutch plates and springs as it shifts fine with no slipping or jumping out of gear. There were hardly any nicks in the front forks, and I believe this bike was only occasionally trail ridden, as it was in decent shape when I bought it. Powder coated frame, rear shock spring, exhaust (DG Brand-you can see their logo if you look closely), and lower fork tubes. NEW PARTS: Wiseco 1.00 over piston and rings, clutch plates/springs, black Pro Taper handlebars, black half waffle grips, NOS magnesium front brake and cluth levers, state of the art aftermarket aluminum kick start lever, steel folding tip (after market) shift lever, throttle cable, clutch cable, front brake cable, kill switch, front fork seals and fluid, fork boots, front brake pads, rear brake pads, front tire and tube, rear tire and tube, front and rear sprockets, chain, chain rollers (2), swingarm chain rub pad, all swingarm needle bearings and spacers, Pro-Link linkage collars where needed, front wheel bearings and seals, rear wheel bearings and seals, left peg bar and mount, front fender, rear fender, air filter, tank decals (mounted on heavy clear plastic to help keep them from warping from gas fume permeation from tank), and numerous bolts, nuts, washers and assorted hardware. The front number plate is a repaired unit off my original '82 480. Looks very good. Chain rollers and pad are not original, but current better than stock pieces. The rear shock has been completly re-built, with new seals and bladder. It has an Answer silencer, and I had to fabricate the front exhaust and rear silencer rubber isolation mounts to work (originals not available from Honda). The DG exhaust has one very small dent in the side you can see in one of the pictures. Everything is lubed/greased, and ready to rock! The bike starts great (3-4 kicks when cold, 1 when hot) and runs like a rocket! Everything works as it should, and I tried to bring it back as near to original as I could. The front fender is from '83 and up CR's ('82's were flat on top without the curvature), and these aftermarket fenders are '84 CR-500 orange, but match the original tank very well. I really liked these four speed 480's over the '83 5 speed model. I have an original Honda sales brochure that will go with it that is in new condition. Also NOS top air box cover will go with it (used for wet racing conditions). Show or race, over $5000 invested! It's definatly a "keeper", but I am only selling because of financial situation. This is a race bike, and is bought where is-as is with no warranty (did not have warranty even when new). Bike will be sold with a bill of sale (no title). Can help deliver within 300 (one way) miles of Springfield Missouri for .35 cents a mile (both ways). LOW RESERVE!
